keep on reading to enter giveawayThanksgiving is about being thankful for the good in our lives. What better way to show our gratefulness than to give back to others around us? Giving back doesn’t have to involve anything big, elaborate, or expensive. Here are a few ideas to give back this Thanksgiving season. Donate I’m big into donating. Periodically, I like to go through my belongings, pick out what I haven’t used in the last year, determine if someone else could get use out of it, and donate it to a local charity. Instead of always selling your unused items why not try donating them this month? Buy someone a coffee Know someone who is having a hard time or stressful week? Buy them a coffee or tea. Don’t know how they like their coffee or tea? Get them a gift card. Sometimes the smallest gestures can turn a whole person’s day around. Start a canned food drive We all enjoy stuffing ourselves with plenty of good food, desserts, and drinks on Thanksgiving. The food is one of my favorite parts about Thanksgiving. A great way to give back is starting a collection for canned non-perishable foods. Move For Hunger or Feeding America are both good options to start a drive. Not everyone is lucky enough to have pantries full of food for Thanksgiving. Volunteer your time Run errands for someone who doesn’t have the time or can’t do it themselves, read stories to children, help out at a local church, or head on over to an animal shelter.
