Holiday Q & A - The Krystal Diaries

Q&As are such a great way to get to know each other and as you may or may not know, I’m pretty nosey. and I really like these types of posts. I’ve also teamed up with Candace from The Quirk Life and Lexi from Lexi be Livin’ to answer some Holiday themed questions and give one of our lucky readers a Walmart gift card and Holiday scented candle.  What’s your go to outfit for the winter? When I am not at work, chunky sweaters and Uggs! I can’t live without my Uggs and wish I could wear them to work. What’s winter like in your hometown? Really really cold but you can’t beat being in NY for the winter. Everywhere you go buildings and stores are decorated with lights and trees. NY is always super festive this time of year. Special winter recipes? I haven’t established any go to winter recipes yet but when I do it will for sure be a dessert! Winter holiday traditions? Going to see the Rockefeller Christmas Tree. I know it’s something that for some New Yorkers gets old but for me it never will. Favorite winter activities? Staying bundled up inside. Preferably with the fireplace on. Winter home décor? Besides the usual Christmas décor I normally put out a few wintery themed pieces throughout my house in January and February. I’ll make sure to share some picks on Instagram! Beauty regimen changes for winter? I make sure to moisturize more often during the day and at night with a good night time moisturizer. Even though I have oily skin, I still get some pretty bad dry patches during the colder months. Favorite holiday song? Mariah Carey’s All I Want for Christmas is You and Jose Feliciano’s Feliz Navidad. These two songs can always put me in a good mood. Favorite holiday movie? It’s a Wonderful Life is and always has been my favorite holiday movie! I watch it every year. Who hosts the family gatherings? It depends on the year. Sometimes the hubby and I do Christmas Eve and his family does Christmas Day. What changes about you in the winter? I shiver nonstop and my everyday coat resembles Ralphie’s in A Christmas Story. Gift wrap or gift bags? A mix of both. Anything awkward goes in a gift bag since I’m pretty bad at gift wrapping. Favorite warm drink for winter? Hands down, hot chocolate with mini marshmallows minus the whipped cream. What are you excited for this season? I’m excited for Christmas and New Years and all the family time and parties that go along with it! Autumn vs. Winter? Which is your fave? Truth, neither of these seasons are my favorite. I kinda seriously dislike the cold but if I have to choose I’ll go with Autumn. Still have some holiday shopping to do or want to do some shopping for yourself? Use the Rafflecopter widget below to enter for a chance to win a $50 gift card to Walmart and a Holiday Candle! a Rafflecopter giveaway I’d love to hear some of your favorite holiday faves so share in the comments below!

Something we have in common – oily skin. Well at least it helps with wrinkle prevention! Thanks for agreeing to partner with me Krystal, this is going to be fun fun fun!

  3. I have always loved chunky sweaters during winter! I wore them to work all the time and found that they looked nice, but were still cozy. Last year I started wearing hoodies more and suddenly I have quite the collection. I swear half of my wardrobe (maybe more than half!) is sweaters and hoodies. 🙂

I loooove New York in Winter. When my husband and I started dating, we’d spend every weekend in New York and since it was around Winter time, it always feels very nostalgic whenever we go to the city during Winter 😉
