HASK Keratin Protein Smoothing Hair Care Collection

HASK Keratin Protein ReviewDisclosure: I was sent these free samples courtesy of Brandbacker and HASK but all opinions are my own.

I’m one of those…those girls who beats their hair up. I die my hair, flat iron my hair, curl my hair and overall just put my hair through torture. Surprise! The reddish brown color is not natural who would of thought?

HASK Keratin Protein Review

My hair is naturally very curly and frizzy but over the past two years I’ve been a loyal Brazilian blowout straightening treatment gal. While it tames some of my frizz and curls it does not make my hair perfectly straight or frizz free. My hair still needs a little extra TLC and that’s where the HASK Keratin Protein line of products comes in.

I was sent the Smoothing Shampoo, Smoothing Conditioner, Smoothing Deep Conditioner and Smoothing Shine Oil to try. You can find their full line of products at Ulta and HASK products are very affordable, $5.99 for the Shampoo and $5.99 for the Conditioner. The Shampoo and Conditioner are the highest priced products in their line. I love a good affordable hair care product.

The HASK Keratin Protein line is free of sulfates, parabens, phthalates, gluten, drying alcohol and artificial colors. Since I damage my hair so much I am very picky about the hair products I use. I won’t use anything on my hair that is not sulfate free. Sulfate free products help hair color last longer and if you are a Brazilian straightening gal like me sulfates will strip it right out of your hair. So stay away from hair products with sulfates in them ladies!

I really enjoyed this shampoo. The smell was nice but more importantly it left my hair feeling clean, fresh and not overly dry like some shampoos I’ve used in the past have. I didn’t have to use as much of it as I do with some shampoos. That means the bottle lasts longer than other brands.

HASK Keratin Protein Smoothing Conditioner

The conditioner is my favorite product in the line. I left the Smoothing Conditioner in my hair for about 5 minutes and after I washed it out my hair was very soft and the tangles were at a minimum. This was the biggest surprise for me since my hair is usually super tangled after I’m done shampooing and conditioning even though I always brush it before washing.

HASK Keratin Protein Smoothing Deep Conditioner

This product was good. I’m always hunting for a deep conditioner that actually leaves my hair feeling like it worked. In the past I’ve tried deep conditioners that have left my hair feeling dry and tangled. This one didn’t do that at all. My only problem with it is it comes in a pouch which makes it hard to store the leftover. I didn’t need to use the entire packet on my hair and was left wondering what the best way to store the extra should be. It would be much easier if it came in a bottle or jar.

HASK Keratin Protein Smoothing Shine Oil

Shine oils are a staple in my hair routine. However, they are tricky. Use to much and your freshly straightened hair is a greasy oily mess. This one comes in a little vial and trust me a little bit goes a long way! A tiny little drop was sufficient for all my hair and left it with a natural non-greasy shine.

HASK Keratin Protein Review

Do I think the HASK Keratin Protein line lives up to it’s claims? Absolutely and even though for a while I have been a loyal user of OGX shampoo & conditioners, HASK has converted me. Another plus? The price point. An affordable line of sulfate and paraben free products that won’t break  the bank is just what I need.

If you are looking for shiny, smooth and frizz free hair I suggest you try a few of their products for yourself. You might just be converted like I was!

I love that smoothing shine oil! I think I received it in one of my Allure Beauty Thrills boxes and love using it on my hair right after washing it.
