Today is the last day of August! That went way too quick. I thought a monthly currently type post would be interesting to do. I see it on other blogs all the time and I love reading them because I feel like it gives a little more insight to the person behind the blog. Also, I’m just a little nosy 🙂
Achievement: I had my blog
redesigned and relaunched plus I’ve blogged every week this month. Working full time can keep me super busy at times and on some days I get home so tired but I’m happy to get back into doing what I love.
Books: I’ve read nothing yet which is a little sad but I’m hoping to get back on the wagon soon.
TV: I don’t know about you but I was glued to the Summer Olympics. Gymnastics and swimming are my fave but I watched a little bit of everything. Even the ones that make you think Is this really a sport? I’m talking about you ping pong. Oh, and Puerto Rico won its first gold medal thanks to Monica Puig!
Eats: I didn’t eat out too much this month, but I did try a vegan restaurant in the city,
Vspot, in the East Village and
Caliente Cab Co in the West Village. Vspot’s food was really good but unfortunately, the service was a little disappointing and I don’t think I’d go back. Caliente Cab Co was really good and if you’re in the city looking for Mexican food I highly recommend it.
Drinking: I was lucky enough to receive a couple bottles of wine from
Cloud No 9 Wine and I’ve been enjoying their Sauvignon Blanc ever since.
Makeup: I’ve kept it pretty simple and light this month. With all the humid days we had, I didn’t want makeup running down my face. I’ve stuck to the
MATCHCo foundation I received and I’m still pretty happy with it.
Looking forward to: It’s going to be hard to say bye to summer since it’s been such a good one but I can’t wait to go apple picking, experiment with some pumpkin recipes, and
wear cardigans 24/7.
