Summer is my favorite season. Sunshine, warm weather, beach trips, relaxing mornings and nights. There is nothing better than sitting outside with an iced coffee or wine and getting lost in a good book. Looking for books to get lost in this summer? These are the books I’m reading this summer.

The third and final book in the Crazy Rich Asian series by Kevin Kwan. This has been in my TBR pile for a while now but I just wasn’t ready to end the series yet. It’s such an over the top fun series of books and I can’t wait to finally read this one.

Sara Vance is a social media influencer recovering from an eating disorder. She’s expanding her career and finally settling into her life but she always feels like the outsider amongst her perfect family. Her boyfriend stands her up for her family reunion so she starts a fake relationship with Luis but as time goes on is the relationship really fake or has she found the one?
This essay by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie has been adapted from a Tedx talk. She shares her unique perspective on feminism based on her own life experiences and what it means to be a feminist today. I’ll probably read it first then watch the Tedx talk.

Six friends. Three couples. They all travel to Portugal for a destination wedding expecting a fun weekend at a dreamy villa. As the weekend goes on turns out they all have secrets and it’s not exactly the fun destination wedding getaway they thought it would be. A thriller set in Portugal might just be the perfect read I need to feel like I’m on vacation.

The Adler family seems perfect. They’re beautiful, successful, the home if gorgeous but are they really that perfect? Weird things start happening. Eggs thrown at their house, car tires punctured, smoke bombs left on their porch and it just gets worse from there. The authorities chalk it up to harmless pranks but the Adler family isn’t convinced. When every family member has something to hide, they better figure it out quick.
