Last weekend a friend and I did the WipeOut Run in Brooklyn for the second year in a row.
The WipeOut Run was formerly the RocRace and it’s based on the TV show – WipeOut. It’s a short 3k race with great obstacle courses along the way. The obstacle courses are the reason I do this run because let’s be real – I don’t run.
You are not doing the race right if you don’t wear something ridiculous.
Warning photo dump ahead. Some photos are directly from WipeOut Run because well it’s hard to take pictures as I’m jumping across things.
My favorite obstacle course was the Big Red Balls.
I never make it past the first one but that’s the fun in it!
The sweeper is terrifying. Nothing like a huge beam just rotating around waiting to knock your butt over.
The Drop isn’t so terrifying until you get to the top but I guess that’s the point right?
I can climb a wall but I cannot figure out how to get over without killing myself. No I was not one of those kids who climbed fences obliviously.
Sky’s the Limit is like a grown up bounce house!
If this looks like fun to you and obstacle courses are your thing, even if they’re not trust me you’ll still have a great time, check out their site to see if WipeOut Run is coming to a city near you.
Thank you WipeOut Run for coming back to New York and I can’t wait to see you next year!
Have you ever done any obstacle course inspired runs?
Will you be doing the WipeOut Run soon?
