Happy Monday everyone! I’m late to put up my post today because well I was too busy binge watching Stranger Things season 2 yesterday when I got home from brunch. I have 3 more episodes to go tonight when I get home from the office and I can’t wait! I hear there’s a big ending? I’ve been staying off Twitter and Facebook because I don’t want to spoil the ending for myself. Have you watched season 2 yet? What are your thoughts??
Anyway today’s post will be short and sweet plus I’ve teamed up with some lovely ladies to host a giveaway. Just keep reading to enter the giveaway below!
I’m always searching for a new brunch spot to go to in the city. There are so many good places to try and you can live here your whole life and never try every single spot. Last week when I was looking for a place to try, I came across Two Hands Restaurant & Bar in Tribeca. I literally searched #nycbrunch on Instagram to find a place. Tell me I’m not the only one who uses Instagram like it’s Google? With all the algorithm changes at least Insta is still good for something!
Two Hands is a cute little Australian restaurant with two locations, a cafe in Nolita and the restaurant I went to in Tribeca. They don’t take reservations so be prepared to wait. However, the wait yesterday wasn’t too long, only about 10 minutes or so, probably because it was a rainy dreary day out. Their menu is full of healthy but delicious eats like a Beet Cured Salmon Bowl, Mushroom Toast, and Smashed Avocado, I don’t trust anyone who doesn’t like avocado, joking.
As much as I love my avocado, I had to try the Smashed Peas with a poached egg on top. It was delicious and a lot more filling than I thought it would be. The poached egg added some creaminess to it and a little more flavor. Honestly, without the poached egg, it would have just been a bowl of peas and that’s not really all that exciting.
I suggest trying their almond milk matcha latte and mimosas of course! What is brunch without a mimosa or two? The matcha latte was the perfect warm pick me up after walking in the pouring rain yesterday!
It was so dark and gloomy here in the city so my pictures are kind of dark. I know blogger fail but hey it happens. Hopefully the rain lets up today and tomorrow is nicer for all the trick or treaters!
