Five Important Travel Tips

Yesterday was the first official day of Spring…finally!! This winter lasted what feels like forever. Now if Mother Nature would just get the memo and fix the cold temperatures, it would really be Spring around here.

Any who, Spring make me think of traveling and I’ve put together a list of my five favorite travel tips I have picked up over the years.

1. Bring a hat.

Bow Trimmed Woven Floppy Hat

Remember that hat I mentioned last week?? Well I went ahead and ordered it because it will be perfect for traveling to warm locations. In the heat, hats keep the sun off your face and help prevent sunburn. In cold locations, a knit hat will help to keep you warm and does not take up much space when packing.

2.   Don’t forget your chargers.

Chargers

And I mean chargers for anything electronic you bring. You don’t want to go searching or borrowing charges when you should be enjoying yourself. So make a list and don’t forget those iPhone, camera, Nook, Kindle, iPad, etc… chargers.

3. Make a spare copy of your ID.

Passport

This goes for traveling in the states or outside of the country. Always have a copy of your drivers license or passport handy in case you lose your originals.

4. Bring you own first aid kit

Make sure it’s packed with – ibuprofen, Benadryl, Dayquil, Band-Aids, Antibacterial cream to clean any cuts or scraps.

5. Bring a crossbody bag

Never walk around in any foreign city with a shoulder bag. Locals can spot tourist a mile away and it’s just better to never take a chance. A crossbody bag worn properly can’t be grabbed off your shoulder by any scumbag. This goes for traveling to a city in the states you’ve never been too also. You’re still a tourist in a new city.

What are some of your travel tips?
