Best Podcasts To Listen To

Podcasts have been on my radar for years but I never listened to them. I guess I’ve always been a music person. Listening to music in the mornings while I get ready to head out the door for works has been part of my go-to routine for years. I really don’t know why I didn’t give podcasts a try sooner, but I finally did and it’s been nice changing up my routine and listening to something different in the mornings. They’re a great way to learn new things or just get lost in a story and listening to podcasts fits into my busy schedule pretty easily.

Best Podcasts To Listen To // The Krystal Diaries

I know I may be one of the last people to jump aboard the podcasts train but here are some of my favorite ones to listen to:

Stuff Mom Never Told You

This one was originally hosted by Cristen Conger and Caroline Ervin and is all about women. They stopped making new episodes for a while but it’s back again now with Emilie Aries and Bridget Todd.  There are so many episodes to listen too. I love their style and all the research they do on their topics. Some of my favorite episodes – The Secret History of International Women’s Day  and Is My Hair a Feminist Statement?

Best Podcasts To Listen To // The Krystal Diaries

Beyond the To Do List

I’m always trying to figure out ways I can be more productive and make better use of my time and this podcast has some really helpful tips. It’s hosted by Erik Fisher and he usually has guest on sharing their secrets and tips. My favorite episode so far – Amber De La Garza on Priorities, Daily Planning and Time Blocking. I never knew time blocking was really a thing but now I use my work calendar for everything when I’m in the office!

United States of Anxiety

This podcast caught my attention because the first episode of season one interviewed people on Long Island, NY. This podcast focuses on current politics. It offers an interesting take on real people’s views about current and ongoing policies. Fave episode – This Is Your Brain on Politics

Serial

I know, I know so many people have listened to Serial’s season one and two already and I’m still only on season one but it’s just so good! This is actually the first podcasts I started listening to a few months ago. Did Adnan Syed murder is ex-girlfriend or not? The evidence against him is pretty sketchy. I haven’t finished Season one yet so I can’t wait to hear how it ends. Or is it never really solved? Is Season two worth listening to or no? Favorite episode – all of them!

Listen Money Matters

Having a basic understanding of your personal finances is so important and it can be so confusing with so much information out there. This podcast sums it all up and makes it easy to learn about all aspects of money. Fave one – Stop Wasting Money Already

Podcasts, do listen to them? What are some of your faves?

oh my gosh, I LOVE podcasts! I’m currently catching up on ‘stuff you should know’, you should listen to the podcast ‘Mortified’ it’s a podcast about people standing on a stage in front of total strangers, reading from their teenage diaries. It is hysterical.

Beyond the to-do list sounds like my kind of podcast I’ll definitely be checking that one out. I love Gary Vaynerchuck, happier podcast, the art of charm. Podcasts are something I love listening to while commuting or walking the dog.

I haven’t done much of podcast listening. I have listened to Jillian Michaels once in a while. I may have to get into it and listen to more during runs. I am going to listen to your favourite – Daily Planning and Time Blocking and learn from it.

I recently got into podcasts as well and think Serial is amazing! You should also check out Human Race. It is a podcast about runners but not about running. It follows interesting stories of running impacts the lives of every day people from a man who ran a race with a battery powered heart to the woman who has to cut off ultra marathon runners when they are over time and console them as months of training go down the drain in the desert.

I listen to quite a lot of podcasts. Dinner Party Download, Death, sex & Money, and Modern Love are my favs. I also really like First Up from NPR. It does a great job of talking about the top stories of day in 15 minutes. I also recommend S&^t Town. It was done by the same people who did Serial and This American Life.

Well I definitely need to listen to the last one! A podcast about saving money and finances sounds really useful. Lately I’ve been listening to Bitch Sesh, which is kind of embarrassing to admit but if you watch any Bravo shows like the Housewives or Southern Charm, it is hilarious.
