Podcasts have been on my radar for years but I never listened to them. I guess I’ve always been a music person. Listening to music in the mornings while I get ready to head out the door for works has been part of my go-to routine for years. I really don’t know why I didn’t give podcasts a try sooner, but I finally did and it’s been nice changing up my routine and listening to something different in the mornings. They’re a great way to learn new things or just get lost in a story and listening to podcasts fits into my busy schedule pretty easily.
I know I may be one of the last people to jump aboard the podcasts train but here are some of my favorite ones to listen to:
This one was originally hosted by Cristen Conger and Caroline Ervin and is all about women. They stopped making new episodes for a while but it’s back again now with Emilie Aries and Bridget Todd. There are so many episodes to listen too. I love their style and all the research they do on their topics. Some of my favorite episodes – The Secret History of International Women’s Day and Is My Hair a Feminist Statement?
I’m always trying to figure out ways I can be more productive and make better use of my time and this podcast has some really helpful tips. It’s hosted by Erik Fisher and he usually has guest on sharing their secrets and tips. My favorite episode so far – Amber De La Garza on Priorities, Daily Planning and Time Blocking. I never knew time blocking was really a thing but now I use my work calendar for everything when I’m in the office!
This podcast caught my attention because the first episode of season one interviewed people on Long Island, NY. This podcast focuses on current politics. It offers an interesting take on real people’s views about current and ongoing policies. Fave episode – This Is Your Brain on Politics
I know, I know so many people have listened to Serial’s season one and two already and I’m still only on season one but it’s just so good! This is actually the first podcasts I started listening to a few months ago. Did Adnan Syed murder is ex-girlfriend or not? The evidence against him is pretty sketchy. I haven’t finished Season one yet so I can’t wait to hear how it ends. Or is it never really solved? Is Season two worth listening to or no? Favorite episode – all of them!
Having a basic understanding of your personal finances is so important and it can be so confusing with so much information out there. This podcast sums it all up and makes it easy to learn about all aspects of money. Fave one – Stop Wasting Money Already
Podcasts, do listen to them? What are some of your faves?
