It’s fall ya’ll! Last Thursday, fall officially began at 10:21 AM. I’m sad to see summer go but the start of a new season means so many new things to do. With every new season comes a bucket list of oh so fall like things to do. Pumpkin picking, apple picking, corn mazes and so so many more fun things. There is always something fun and exciting to do and so many things I haven’t tried yet but this fall, I wanted to share some of the not so obvious things to do.
Now that the heat scorchers and humidity are nearing an end, this is the perfect time to do some cleaning and reorganizing at home. You won’t melt to death going through junk and putting things away, and it’ll allow you to make room for more stuff before the Holidays roll around. Toss, donate or repurpose items that are just laying around collecting dust. I just put together tons of clothes and shoes to donate to Big Brothers Big Sisters.
Visit a new town
There are so many fun things to try in the fall so why not venture out to a new location and experience fall activities you may not have close by. If you’re able to, dust off that passport and experience another country’s fall weather and activities. Venture out of your comfort zone.
Start a new beginning
Who says you have to wait for the new year to make a resolution? Why not start a new habit now? Been wanting to start a new workout routine but the summer heat kept you down? Well, now it’s cool enough outside to start that new routine. This is the perfect season to get outside and get going.
Experiment with new recipes
With temps cooling down, in most places – sorry Floridians, kitchens aren’t sweltering anymore. So stop using your oven as storage and start testing out those recipes you’ve been pining all summer long.
Catch up on reading
I know everyone thinks summer is the time to read every book you have while laying on the beach but if you’re anything like me, your summers are jam packed. Summer weekends and nights are for spending time with family and friends. Most of the time our schedules clear up a bit during the fall giving you plenty of time to break out those books you’ve been dying to read. I know what I’ll be reading for the next few weeks
Don’t forget, though; it is fall, and that means it’s #basicseason so you must do all of these things surrounded by pumpkin scented everything, apple pies while wearing boots and blanket scarves, OK? As I type this, I’m drinking a PSL and burning a pumpkin apple candle. Embrace the basicness.
What are your plans for this Fall?
